This core value has been recognized in the company's receipt of the SPARK Grand Achievement Award for Safety in 2008, 2009, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022. Grand Achievement is the highest level a company can achieve in the Independent Electrical Contractors safety evaluation. In addition, 1st Electric was awarded 2023 IECRM excellence in safety award for 100+ employees.
Internally, 1st Electric implements a comprehensive Safety Program. All employees take part in this continuous safety training program. This program has helped 1st Electric achieve an experience modification rating points better than the industry average. 1st Electric makes it a goal to improve these ratings each year. 1st Electric has a safety bonus program in place to encourage safe work site behaviors.
